Jehovah's Grand "Scapegoat" Covenant Realized

... Godly Blessings Guaranteed

 

(See Exodus 23:20-33; Leviticus 16:7-10; Acts 3:19-21; John 17:3; Hebrews 8:11)

 

 

 

 

 

The Two Goats are presented before Jehovah.

 

The first "goat," the "goat for Jehovah," is offered as a "sin" offering. Next, the "live goat" is presented, alive before Jehovah to "make atonement" [for the Nation of "Israel"] and to "carry away" the "sins of the people." [See Leviticus 16:7-10]

The Mysterious [Unknown] "Scapegoat" Covenant [Lev 16:10] Analyzed -- It:

 

(a) removes guilt from Nation of Israel

(b) restores standing with God

(c) reopens access to God

(d) reestablishes covenant relationship with Jehovah God

This is the legal foundation of restoration.

Two (2)  Different Goats

 

 

 

 

2. "Knowing Jehovah" — Hebrews 8:10-13

Under the Restored [Scapegoat] Covenant:

“They will all know Me, from the least to the greatest.” 

[See Hebrews 8:11]

This is not intellectual knowledge.

It is “Covenantal Intimacy”—the direct, unmediated relationship that Adam and Eve once enjoyed. -- See Genesis 1:31.

The "Scapegoat" Covenant makes this possible by removing

the barrier of sin.

This is the relational outcome of atonement.

 3. Everlasting Life — John 17:3

Jesus defines everlasting life:

“This means everlasting life, their knowing You…”

Notice the sequence:

Atonement (Scapegoat Covenant)

(a)  "Knowing Jehovah" (Hebrews 8:11)

(b)  "Everlasting Life" (John 17:3)

(c)  Everlasting life is not a reward.

It is the natural result of a restored relationship with Jehovah.

This is the life outcome of covenant restoration. (Acts 3:19-21)

THE FULL SYNTHESIS

No doubt, this equation is prophetically precise:

"Scapegoat" Covenant (Leviticus 16:10)

→ removes sin

→ restores access to God

"Knowing Jehovah" (Heb 8:11)

→ restores Edenic relationship

→ reestablishes divine intimacy

Everlasting Life (John 17:3)

→ life flows from relationship

→ relationship flows from covenant

This is the covenantal pathway back to the "Garden of Eden."

 ARCHIVAL FORMULATION

The "Scapegoat" Covenant removes sin (Leviticus 16:10), which enables the covenant people to know Jehovah directly (Hebrews 8:11), and this restored relationship is itself the definition and source of everlasting life (John 17:3).

“Further, Jehovah

God planted a garden in E′den, toward the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.”

(Genesis 2:8)
